Cherry Log Christian Church members participate in many ministries. These include:
Living Well
Living Well Front Desk is a new ministry seeking to share the belief that intentional choices in diet, exercise and social/spiritual connection can have a huge impact on how we age. How this program differs from others is the belief that true wellness includes time in prayer as well as time at the gym, worship as well as watching your waistline. Living better also must include a sense of purpose. We are a Christian ministry with a mission to help us all live better and longer. Come join the ministry! Play slideshow

CLOTHES CLOSET
The Clothes Closet is in the basement of the Craddock Center, 947 Cherry Log Street. The Clothes Closet is open the first four Thursdays of each month from 1 to 4 PM.
FOOD COLLECTION
Food Collection Sunday is the first Sunday of every month. The average number of families coming each week is gradually increasing and the donations of food received are certainly appreciated. Items that are always in need are soups, especially chunky soups, canned fruit, canned milk and small packages of powdered milk. Thank you for your generous donations in the past and thank you in advance for future donations
- Gilmer County Food Bank: The Gilmer Community Food Pantry is located at 266 Sailors Drive, Suite #5, Ellijay, GA 30540. It is open Wednesdays l0 am - 1 pm. Volunteers are needed on Wednesdays morning 9:30 - 1 pm to help stock shelves and fill orders for the clients. If anyone is interested they can call Katie Griffin for info (706-636-5839).
Fannin County Food Bank and Feed Fannin: A group of individuals and organizations who came together to address the growing problem of hunger in Fannin County. While their primary goal is to help others help themselves through initiatives such as community gardening and sharing resources, their underlying aspiration was to tap into the unity that has long been a part of this small town, a reliance on each other that is missing in so many larger communities. For more information or to help, contact Barbara Ferer or Ham or Jane Kimzey.
CRADDOCK CENTER

The Craddock Center exists to enrich the lives of the people of Southern Appalachia through programs of education, cultural enhancement, and service, encouraging communities, families, and children to advance educationally, socially, and spiritually. For more information or to volunteer please contact the Craddock Center at 706-632-1772.
SNACK IN A BACKPACK PROGRAM
Through a local program called "Snack in a Backpack," volunteers are working hard to feed the hungry children of Fannin County by purchasing backpacks and filling them with a variety of snacks and foods. Each Friday a child in need will take his or her backpack home and return it empty to the school on Monday morning. Snack in a Backpack is being coordinated confidentially within the school so as not to embarrass the child in need.
Just $7.00 buys enough food/snacks to feed one child for the entire weekend. Your CLCC group may make this a combined ministry project to help several hungry children. You may make a donation to CLCC on behalf of these children by noting on your check or cash envelop "Snack in a Backpack" before dropping it into the offering plate. Please consider adopting a child at a cost of $35.00 per month. Currently we have approximately 40 children in the program.
We need 30 backpacks, before August 1st, in colors of tan & black appropriate for boys. You can drop them by the church office for Paige to pick up.
