Merciful and
loving God, with thankful hearts we humbly gather to offer praise
and
thanksgiving for our new church. We know that You are in our midst; and
we
are grateful for the journey that brings us to this place and time.
Accept this building
and our offerings of praise and worship as humble
gifts. Grant us Your guidance that
we may continue to be Christ's body,
present here and now, for all those in need. Help
us to make this
building a house of prayer for all people, a bright and shining light, a
witness
of our faith to this community and beyond and may the Holy
Spirit rest mightily upon all
who enter these doors. In Jesus' name we
lift our prayers to heaven. Amen.
